In order for Volunteers to participate with the Miracle League of Arizona for a full season (7-8 week) commitment, they must do the following:
1. Have reached at least 10 years of age or be an athlete’s immediate family member
2. Fill out and turn in a Volunteer application form (For Volunteers 18 and over click HERE and for Volunteers under 18 click HERE
A. If 18 and over, they must also fill out and turn in our background check Release of Information Form (click HERE)
Submit all applications and background checks to Alex MacKay – Program Director at firstname.lastname@example.org or by fax at 480-668-3827.
B. Once approved, the Volunteer will receive a follow up phone call or e-mail to discuss their personal involvement with the league and answer any questions. After this step, the Volunteer can register online with one or more of the VOLUNTEER teams.
C. TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT WITH US TO REGISTER AS A VOLUNTEER, CLICK BELOW (Be sure to select the VOLUNTEER options, not the athlete ones)
D. New Volunteers also need to attend a mandatory Training and Orientation Session to help prepare them for all the skills and knowledge that may be needed for participation.
i. If the Volunteer is unable to attend a training or the season has already begun, there will be an on-site training session where the roles and responsibilities are clearly discussed and understood. If both parties are comfortable with the Volunteers involvement, they can volunteer from there on out and attend the next training available for future seasons. (Application form and Background check still are required to be completed)
